The greatest risk in an agency isn't the lack of ideas, it's signing off on a creative direction that turns out to be impossible to deliver on time or within budget.
I step in early, alongside the creative direction and project management teams, to stress-test the concepts. Will this interaction hold up on mobile? Will this animation blow the page weight budget?
Often the answer isn't "no", it's "differently." I propose technical alternatives that preserve the creative intent while keeping production on safe ground.
The goal isn't consulting for its own sake, it's making sure the production team doesn't hit a wall two weeks before delivery with a comp that can't be built.
